We support a diverse client base across multiple industries and are committed to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that enhance end-user experience and performance.We are seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of new products and the improvement of existing ones, supporting projects from initial concept through to full-scale production.This position is suited for individuals who combine strong technical expertise with creativity who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and collaborate across multiple functional teams. Responsibilities:Design and develop new products using a variety of manufacturing processes (e.g., plastics, metals, machining, forming, and fabrication).Build and evaluate prototypes to validate design concepts.Support cost estimation and design optimization efforts.Create and maintain production drawings and technical documentation.Develop quality control methods and testing procedures.Evaluate and validate materials for product applications.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing processes, equipment, automation, and safety.Perform occasional CNC programming or similar machine setup tasks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, quality, and commercial functions.Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors as needed.Qualifications:Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical discipline.Minimum 5-8 years of experience in product design and/or manufacturing that involves printing and/or sheet metal.Experience with manufacturing processes that involve plastic extrusion, injection molding, sheet metal, die cut plastic and wire bending.Strong experience in product design for manufacturing.Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion or similar).Experience producing technical drawings for manufacturing.Familiarity with tooling, fixtures, and high-volume production environments.Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
