This role acts as the critical link between Engineering, Project Management, Quality Surveillance, and Suppliers to ensure materials, equipment, and technical packages are sourced, evaluated, and delivered in alignment with project requirements and specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesSourcing & Engineering InterfaceInterpret engineering requisitions, specifications, datasheets, and bill of materials.Collaborate closely with engineering disciplines to clarify technical requirements and ensure alignment with project design.Identify technically suitable suppliers and support prequalification activities.Review supplier documentation, including SDRLs, ITPs, technical submissions, and design deliverables.Enquiry & Bid ManagementPrepare complete and technically accurate RFQs/Enquiries.Manage bid receipt, technical bid clarifications, and coordinate Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) with engineering.Perform Commercial Bid Evaluations (CBE) and consolidate award recommendations.Supplier Negotiations & AwardConduct negotiations covering technical compliance, pricing, delivery, warranties, terms and conditions and exceptions.Prepare recommendations for award, ensuring compliance to engineering requirements and procurement governance.Issue Purchase Orders with fully validated technical and commercial content.Post-Award Procurement SupportParticipate in kick-off meetings with suppliers to align scope, technical documentation, and inspection plans.Support Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) activities by monitoring progress and documentation flow.Review supplier submittals, engineering documents, and progress reports for compliance.Collaborate with logistics, expediting, and construction on packaging, shipping releases, and technical delivery requirements.Collaboration & ReportingWork closely with project management, engineering, construction teams, client representatives, quality control, project controls, accounts payable, and suppliers.Maintain a clear understanding of procurement workflows and client-specific requirements.Manage deadlines and proactively communicate scheduling issues.Develop, Maintain and Distribute procurement status reports to clients and internal stakeholders as required.Support Project Procurement Manager as requiredQualificationsRequired5+ years of procurement experience supporting engineering-driven scopes (major equipment, fabricated packages, rotating equipment, structural steel, electrical systems, etc.).Strong understanding of technical documentation, drawings, and engineering workflows. Experience coordinating technical reviews and interfacing with multi-discipline engineering teams.Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.PreferredPrevious experience in an industrial construction environmentFamiliarity with Aveva ERM software.Diploma, degree, or certification in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
