Job Description

Key Responsibilities - Facilitate PAES lab activities across various vocational areas (e.g., business/marketing, industrial, processing, construction, and computer technology). - Provide instruction, demonstrations, and support to participants completing taskbased assessments. - Plan, coordinate, and deliver workshops based on employment readiness. - Monitor participant progress and document performance, skill development, and areas for growth. - Develop individualized training or support plans based on participant goals and assessment results. - Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. - Assist participants in building workplace readiness skills such as time management, communication, and problemsolving. - Maintain equipment, materials, and organization of the PAES lab. - Collaborate with case managers, employers, and community partners as needed. - Prepare reports and maintain accurate records in accordance with program requirements. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Preferred Skills - Postsecondary education or a combination of other relevant education, training, and experience. - Familiarity with the PAES methodology or similar vocational assessment tools (considered an asset but not a requirement). - Experience in workshop facilitation or handson training environments. - Knowledge of local labour market trends and employment supports. - Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment (e.g., youth, persons with disabilities, or those reentering the workforce). - Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills. - Ability to assess skills and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs. - Organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail. - Familiarity with local job market and applicable community resources. - Ability to complete reports and maintain proper records. - Ability to communicate and provide instructions in plain language. - Knowledge of various disabilities and their impact on employment or employmentrelated barriers. - Valid driver's license is required. - Valid CPR, First Aid or willingness to acquire. - Clear criminal records and Vulnerable Sector Check. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week. Salary: $19.25 per hour, per Collective Agreement (MGEU Local 142).
