Role: Mainframe DeveloperLocation: Toronto, ONType: ContractRate: CAD40/hr - CAD50/hrJob Description:Good proficiency in Mainframe technologies and related tools like ISPW, XPEDITOR, ESP scheduling, SPUFI, STAR, Service now, etc. Strong knowledge programming in Cobol, PL1, DB2.CICS and Jcl, experience in Eztrieve, FOCUS added an advantage. Ability to face new challenges and good problem-solving capabilities and implement new skills and knowledge at workplace efficiently. Strong Technical, Analytical, Communication and Interpersonal skills. Experience with collaborative development tools (JIRA, Confluence) will make an advance. Working Knowledge on Water Fall and Agile methodologies, should have strong knowledge on all phases of SDLC life cycle. Ability to understand requirements from business consultant, convert into design and develop code by using mainframe programming. Able to engage with different teams for a project completeness as required.Required SkillsStrong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and technologies.Nice to HaveExperience with additional mainframe reporting or query tools.Domain exposure to financial services or investment systems.
