Location: Blue Mountain FacilityOur client is seeking a Plant Engineer to support operations at a nepheline syenite mining and processing facility. This role will work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and external contractors to support capital projects, improve plant performance, strengthen maintenance reliability, and identify process improvement opportunities.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys being in the plant, working with people across departments, and finding practical ways to make operations safer, more efficient, and more reliable.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Plant Engineer will be responsible for:Supporting a strong safety culture across the plantWorking with production teams to identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and outputReviewing plant processes to identify bottlenecks, deficiencies, and areas for improvementDeveloping scopes of work for plant and capital projectsManaging internal projects involving multiple departments and contractorsSupporting maintenance with equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and reliability improvementsAssisting with plant and equipment auditsUpdating process flowsheets, diagrams, and related documentationCreating training materials for new equipment, systems, and processesCoaching plant employees on equipment, processes, and operational best practicesTracking plant performance and KPIsSupporting annual dust collection flow audits and recommending improvementsWorking with maintenance on predictive and preventative maintenance programsProviding operational oversight when requiredSupporting plant policies, procedures, and other duties as assignedQualificationsThe successful candidate will bring:A bachelors degree in engineering or an equivalent engineering backgroundElectrical, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering experience preferred3 to 5 years of experience in an engineering roleStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsA practical, safety-focused approach to plant operationsThe ability to work effectively with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teamsCompensation and BenefitsThe organization offers a competitive compensation package, including:Medical, dental, prescription drug, and vision benefitsDisability insuranceLife and AD&D insuranceRRSP with company contributionVacation and paid holidaysEmployee assistance programPaid volunteer timeOpportunities for career growth and advancementAbout the OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to work in a plant environment where they can have a visible impact on safety, reliability, process improvement, and operational performance.The organization is committed to providing an inclusive, equitable, and accessible workplace.
