The Director Clinical Service Design is a key leadership position responsible for leading, planning, executing and evaluating all Clinical Planning, Operational Readiness and Transition Planning initiatives for Southlakes redevelopment project. Reporting to the VP Facilities and Infrastructure, Chief Redevelopment Officer (VP, CRO), the Director will play an integral role in bringing expertise of leadership, clinical, organizational, and operational perspectives to the planning, design and implementation processes for Southlakes second hospital and renovation of our Davis Drive campus to support the delivery of leading-edge care.**What you will be doing:*** Lead the Hospitals clinical planning and Operational Readiness Plan for the Project to support the successful development and transition to a new hospital and renovated Davis Drive campus in consultation with internal and external stakeholders. Initiate and prepare regular reports, schedules and presentations as required.* Work directly and collaboratively with internal partners (Leadership teams, Directors, Managers, all staff, physicians, patients and families) and external partners (Ministry of Health (MOH), Ontario Health (OH), Ministry of Infrastructure (MoI), Functional Programmer, Infrastructure Ontario (IO), the Planning, Design and Compliance Team (PDC), consultants) to direct the clinical planning and operational readiness initiatives for the Project at each stage of the Redevelopment.* Initiate strategies and maintain a collaborative approach with clinical services leadership, Chief Operating Officer, and committees to develop future models of care, encourage quality/process improvements, ensure emerging clinical trends, support best practices and evidence-based design approaches, and identify project impacts in the decision-making process to reflect the projects mission, vision and values.* Lead Clinical Planning and clinical input into the development of the functional program, project plans, output specifications, workflow designs, operational improvements and implementation schedules in collaboration with the Redevelopment project team, internal partners, external partners, the PDC team, scheduler, and Project Co.* Oversee/support multiple clinical user groups throughout the project to assist with defining operational details of the patient care programs for the purposes of informing design, furniture/fixtures/equipment requirements and operational readiness plans.* Support the development of the functional program with key internal and external stakeholders, and ensure directions are implemented and adhered to in all stages of the project.* Review and support the development of the PSOS with key internal and external stakeholders, and ensure directions are implemented and adhered to in all stages of the Redevelopment project.* Lead the Hospitals Operational Readiness and Transition Plan to support a successful transition into the new hospital in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.* Evaluate and analyze changing priorities, trends, emerging issues and legislative requirements, and integrate into the Clinical and Operational Readiness planning activities as necessary.* Develop and implement a Change Management Plan, in conjunction with Human Resources, to support all stakeholders through each stage of the Redevelopment project.* Liaise with the Chief Communications Officer to develop communication requirements for Clinical Planning, Operational Readiness and Transition Planning and POE, including stakeholder engagement and user group participation.* Advise the VP CRO regarding risk management and risk mitigation strategies related to Clinical Planning and Operational Readiness* Assist VP CRO to resolve clinical planning and design issues with MOH, OH, IO, PDC team and Project Co.* Recruit and manage direct reports as required.* Assist the VP CRO in the scope development and evaluation of RFQs and RFPs throughout the project.* Develop and/or contribute to presentations and progress reporting for IO, MoH, MoI, Southlake Board of Directors, Communications Team, Southlake Foundation, internal and external stakeholders, etc.**What you bring:*** Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in acute care hospital environments, including leadership for clinical operations, facility planning and/or healthcare clinical service design.* Leadership experience leading transformational initiatives, overseeing acute clinical service planning, workflow modelling, integration and activation of healthcare facility design.* Demonstrated experience leading Operational Readiness and Transitional planning, ideally for large acute healthcare projects.* Demonstrated success in strategic planning, project management, fiscal management and leading multidisciplinary teams.* Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to manage complex priorities.Southlake Health is fully committed to a culture of belonging and an inclusive environment that encourages every team member to lead within their role, generate innovative ideas that reinforce our mission and goal to create a healthy workplace where our community can thrive.Regular and reliable attendance is an expected requirement of this position.We are committed to a selection process and work environment that is inclusive and barrier-free.
