This position is responsible for day-to-day human resources activitiesincluding employee lifecycle support, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and complianceas well as core finance and accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, expense reporting, and financial reporting support.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Human Resources (Primary Responsibilities)Serve as the primary local HR contact for employees and managers at the Oakville locationAdminister employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HRIS maintenanceCoordinate payroll processing with corporate payroll partners and ensure accuracy of time and attendance dataSupport benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee questionsAssist with recruitment activities such as job postings, interview scheduling, background checks, and offer coordinationSupport performance management processes, employee relations matters, and basic investigations in partnership with Corporate HREnsure compliance with Ontario employment legislation and company policiesMaintain personnel files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive informationOrganize and lead periodic community involvement and employee engagement events to strengthen employee connection, teamwork, and community presence.Support workplace health and safety initiatives by assisting with training coordination, incident reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance with applicable safety policies and regulatory requirements, in collaboration with local leadership and corporate EHS resources.Finance & AccountingProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timelyPrepare and issue customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables as neededReconcile expense reports and support travel and purchasing complianceAssist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting supportMaintain accurate financial records in accordance with company procedures and internal controlsCoordinate with corporate finance and accounting teams on reporting, audits, and ad hoc requestsAll other reasonably assigned dutiesPOSITION REQUIREMENTS: Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field35 years of progressive experience in a combined HR, finance, or administrative generalist roleExperience working in a manufacturing environment is requiredWorking knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practicesPractical understanding of accounting fundamentals (A/P, A/R, reconciliations, invoicing)Experience working with HRIS, payroll systems, and accounting/ERP softwareStrong attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretionStrong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively with employees at all levelsWHY YOU SHOULD APPLY:Competitive compensation and benefitsCollaborative and supportive team environmentOpportunity to work closely with leadership and corporate partnersBroad exposure across HR and finance functions with growth potentialEqual Opportunity & Accommodation StatementPOSS is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
