About the RoleThis role is equal parts business partner, culture driver, and HR leader. Youll support assigned business lines, lead HR initiatives, and work closely with operations to align people strategy with business goalswhile ensuring compliance across Ontario and, where applicable, other provincial regulations. What Youll DoPartner with operations leaders as a trusted HR advisorLead and execute HR programs across the employee lifecycleEnsure compliance with Ontario employment legislation (ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code) and support multi-province considerationsUse data and analytics to identify trends and drive decisionsSupport attraction & retention strategies in partnership with Recruiting and CompensationCoach leaders on performance management, employee relations, and engagementConduct and oversee employee investigationsBuild strong community partnerships and employer brand presence in the Waterloo regionDevelop and mentor HR team membersLead key HR projects aligned to business priorities What Were Looking For8+ years of HR experience (service-driven environment preferred)5+ years leading people and/or projectsStrong working knowledge of Ontario employment law; exposure to other Canadian provinces is a plusProven experience handling employee relations and conflict resolutionStrong business acumen with the ability to influence at all levelsData-driven mindset with strong Excel skillsBachelors degree required (HR or Business preferred)CHRP/CHRL or SHRM-CP/SCP is a plus Why HGS?Youll be part of a team thats shaping the future of customer experiencewhile building a culture where people can grow, thrive, and do their best work.
