Keystone Environmental offers a very competitive compensation and benefits package as well as a supportive and dynamic work environment designed to enhance employee experience and engagement.We have an immediate opening for a Junior-Level CADD Technician who can support environmental engineering and drafting workflows, produce accurate georeferenced drawings, and prepare clean, client-ready figures. The ideal candidate is strongest in AutoCAD / Civil 3D and can also contribute to GIS tasks in ArcGIS Pro when required.Your responsibilities will include:Prepare accurate engineering drawings, site plans, details, sections, elevations, and figure sets using AutoCAD and, where applicable, Civil 3D.Work in a georeferenced CAD environment and ensure drawings are produced in real-world coordinates and at appropriate scale.Create professional, client-ready figures for technical reports and field use.Support engineers by converting sketches, notes, and markups into complete drawing packages that align with company standards and templates.Manage drawing revisions efficiently, including larger project changes, without unnecessarily rebuilding work from scratch.Work with layers, linetypes, text, hatching, dimensions, xrefs, blocks, and plotting layouts to produce polished deliverables.Interpret legal plans, survey plans, and supporting site information.Assist with GIS tasks such as preparing field maps, extracting and transforming third-party data, georeferencing documents, and supporting ArcGIS Pro workflows as needed.Core Technical RequirementsPrimary priority - CAD / environmental engineering support1 to 2 years of hands-on experience with Autodesk AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience is strongly preferred.Solid understanding of the AutoCAD / Civil 3D interface, commands, drafting standards, annotation, dimensioning, and plotting.Ability to produce detailed engineering drawings from sketches and engineering markups.Experience working with drawing sets that include site plans, detail plans, section views, and elevation views, with an understanding of how those components interconnect.Ability to work confidently with xrefs, blocks, layers, and large drawing files.Experience producing drawings for print and PDF output at correct scale.Ability to convert imperial drawings to metric and georeference existing drawings or site plans where needed.Experience creating cross-sections and profile views in AutoCAD or Civil 3D.Ability to read and interpret survey plans and legal plans.Secondary / supporting GIS capabilityExperience with ArcGIS Pro/ArcMap an asset.Ability to prepare maps, work with coordinate systems and projections, and georeference non-spatial information.Experience extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple formats, including CAD / GIS data exchanges such as SHP and KML.Understanding of cartography principles and strong attention to figure quality and consistency.Preferred Experience and SkillsTechnical Background: Experience in environmental engineering, consulting, or technical reporting.Civil 3D Proficiency: Skilled with surfaces, point groups, profiles, grading, and volume calculations.Design Environment: Familiarity with professional engineering or architectural drawing standards.Organization: A strong grasp of information management and maintaining consistency across deliverables.Soft Skills and Work StyleStrong technical, communication, and organizational skills.Proactive mindset with good judgment and attention to detail.Ability to ask questions when engineering markups or details do not align properly.Comfort working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while managing assigned drafting tasks independently.Keystone Environmental offers a very competitive compensation and benefits package as well as a supportive and dynamic work environment designed to enhance employee experience and engagement.All interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply with their resume and cover letter referencing Junior-Level CADD Technician, in the subject line.
