Our client in the construction and development industry, based in the Waterloo region, is seeking a Senior Controller to join their growing team! The role will focus heavily on financial reporting, team leadership, and project financial oversight, while working closely with senior leadership and project managers to analyze performance and support strategic growth initiatives. What our client has to offer: Competitive compensation Annual profitsharing bonus Great benefits and vacation package RRSP matching Opportunity to work with a wellestablished and growing development and construction company Collaborative and social company culture Strong growth trajectory and longterm career potential Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop an accounting team of 34 members, including coop students Oversee daytoday accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable, and general accounting Prepare and review monthly financial statements and variance analysis Collaborate with project managers and crossfunctional teams to support project financials and reporting Oversee and review project financial performance to ensure accuracy and insights Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Ensure strong internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements Work closely with senior leadership to present financial insights and support decisionmaking Assist with yearend processes and liaise with external accountants Support adhoc financial analysis and special projects as required Requirements: CPA designation is REQUIRED 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong controllership experience Construction or projectbased industry experience is REQUIRED Proven experience working closely with project managers and operational teams Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial results Must be willing to work onsite five days a week #J-18808-Ljbffr
