Reporting to the Manager, Technology and Applications, the successful candidate will have a passion for the environment and experience in web application development. As a key member of the Applications Development Team, the Web Application Developer intern will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our web applications, contributing to the development of new features, and gaining handson experience with real-world projects. (Canada Summer Jobs Program) Be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of the job Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) and be legally able to work in Canada Responsibilities Reviewing code from other team members and bug fixing Test new software applications and log the bugs Providing technical support for existing web applications Writing clean, scalable code using .Net languages (VB.net/C#.Net/ASP.Net) Working on data reports/updates using SQL Contribute to project documentation (Process Flows, User guides etc.) Understanding integrated thirdparty systems and providing support WordPress plugin updates (with provided training) Qualifications And Education Pursuing a bachelors degree in computer science, Software Development, Engineering, IT, or related discipline Familiarity with one or more programming languages, such as C#, VB.Net or Python and a willingness to learn new technologies Familiarity with SQL queries and database concepts Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and other web technologies.
