Job Description

The function of the General Accounting Clerk is to support the accounting management of all Pete''s Frootique (Retail Stores & Wholesale). The position will require daytoday general accounting duties and to ensure all aspects of the accounting cycle are functioning and providing support as required to the Accounting Team/Department. This role will require minimal supervision and the ability to communicate effectively and present results as/when required. The role will involve: reporting, GL posting, AR/AP, payroll support. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable & Payroll Support Reconciliations: bank, AP & AR Reporting KPI''s and adhoc Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports Analysis of financial information Assist with monthly & year end audit requests Participate in month end close activities: including accruals, prepaid expenses, tax submissions To be a role model in living Pete''s Frootique & Fine Foods Core Values. Skill Competencies Computer skills including: Sage 50, MSOffice (Excel) Accounting Diploma/Degree Experience in an Accounting Setting 2-3 years Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills Logic and problem solving skills The ability to determine when things ''do not add up'' correctly. Result-orientation and process driven Strong communication and presentation skills Work Environment Work involves continuous interaction with management and team members in a fast-paced environment Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements.
