Reporting to the EVP, Finance and Support Services, CFO, CIO, the Director, Finance will lead core financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, and planning, while serving as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization. At a time of continued evolution and investment in leadership capacity, the Director will play a key role in strengthening financial reporting to the Board and Ministry, supporting clinical and operational leaders, and ensuring financial discipline aligns with Ontario Shores recoveryoriented mission. The ideal candidate is a CPAdesignated finance leader with progressive experience in healthcare or the broader public sector, bringing both strategic perspective and operational discipline. They are known for their ability to take complex concepts, translate them into clear plans, and execute with confidence. While experience with hospital or ministry reporting, budgeting, and performance management is important, success in this role will ultimately be defined by leadership maturity sound judgment, credibility, and the ability to get things done. This individual leads with trust, not micromanagement, and brings a collaborative, coachingoriented style that builds confidence and capability in others. They are skilled at working across disciplines partnering effectively with clinical leaders, research, technology, and peer directors and are comfortable supporting leaders with varying levels of financial literacy. Curious and openminded, they are motivated to learn the business deeply and to draw out the existing strengths of a capable team, positioning finance as an engaged, respected, and valueadding partner across the organization. Responsibilities Lead core financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and planning. Provide financial insights and strategic partnership to operational and enterprise leaders. Elevate finances role in decisionmaking and longterm sustainability. Qualifications CPAdesignated finance leader with progressive experience in healthcare or the broader public sector. Strategic perspective and operational discipline. Strong knowledge of hospital or ministry reporting, budgeting, and performance management.
