Reporting to the Associate Director, Terminal Infrastructure, the Manager, Maintenance Response is accountable for the oversight and performance of all specialty systems, including Passenger Boarding Bridges and Baggage Handling Systems. This role ensures system availability and operational efficiency by meeting customerdefined expectations for maintenance response and repair services, while upholding the GTAAs service level standards and driving continuous improvements in operating performance. Highly collaborative in nature, this position requires sound judgment, decisive leadership, and a strong commitment to operational excellence. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and conflictresolution skills and thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment. As Manager, Maintenance Response, you will: Lead terminal maintenance teams in responding to system outages and executing preventative maintenance activities in accordance with the system work plan. Plan, recruit, coach, and mentor team members to develop talent and model the organizations values and behaviours. Establish performance expectations and standards of excellence, audit work quality, and ensure full compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures. Partner with Human Resources to lead labour relations matters in a fair, consistent, and respectful manner, including participation in grievance and arbitration processes. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to terminal system outages. Review and analyze financial and operational data to support effective maintenance response and team performance. Identify opportunities to improve maintenance programs and implement changes to meet or exceed performance targets. Support design and construction initiatives focused on the expansion, restoration, or enhancement of terminal systems. Provide operational insight and oversight to ensure effective delivery of the Terminal Systems Maintenance Program. Demonstrate customerfocused leadership aligned with the organizations Mission, Vision, Values, and Beliefs. Foster a positive, balanced, and safe work environment by clearly defining expectations and success, in compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations. This is the role for you, if you have: 4 years of experience in a maintenance environment working on mechanical electrically controlled equipment. 4 years of experience working in a customer centric environment. 4 years of experience in People Management (direct report or crossfunctional) in a multidisciplinary environment. Experience working in a unionized environment will be considered an asset. PostSecondary degree or diploma or minimum 5 years of combined equivalent work experience and education. Ability to obtain a D/A AVOP license. Ability to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance.
