Position Summary A Dairy/Frozen Department Manager coordinates the merchandise and activities of Associates in a department(s) of a Walmart store through modular integrity, perpetual inventory, merchandise management, and customer service, while maintaining exemplary customer service by adhering to the Basic Beliefs and values of Walmart. What You''ll Do Assist the Management Team with the supervision of the designated Department, which involves mentoring, teaching, assigning duties, recognizing, supervising, and communicating with Hourly Associates appropriately and efficiently. Order merchandise on time. Maintain zero pricing errors (i.e., Scanning Credibility Program). Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sellby dates, and expiration dates. Adhere to food safety and handling procedures and follow sanitation and cleaning procedures. Follow proper procedures on Markup/Markdowns, Price Changes, Signing/Flagging/Labels, Clearance, Competition Shopping, and Competition Pricing. Listen to Customer complaints, examine returned merchandise, and resolve problems to restore and promote good public relations. Follow budgets for the department(s), including the shrink budget.
