Operations Associate Co-op / Internship Ontario Food Terminal 3:30 AM Start On-site Etobicoke, ON Reports to: Elijah, Operations HEADS-UP This role starts at 3:30 AM there is no public transit at that hour. A vehicle is required and the early-morning shift is non-negotiable. Reliability and punctuality are everything. ROLE OVERVIEW You'll run alongside the operations team during the hours the industry moves. Coordinating drivers, managing orders, sourcing produce, packing trucks, and resolving customer and supplier issues as they happen. You'll spend time on the warehouse floor and in the office, and your project work will focus on optimizing operations and logistics making routes tighter, processes faster, and the whole system smarter. This is a real, hands-on opportunity. You'll learn the business from the ground up and your work will show up in the numbers. This is not a remote position; our office is in Etobicoke (39 Advance Road). WHAT YOU'LL DO - Pack and quality-check orders before dispatch - Coordinate drivers in real time: route planning, issue resolution, communication - Buy and source produce from suppliers during early morning market hours - Respond to customer and supplier issues on the spot during your shift - Monitor orders through Jitto's platform and catch problems before they reach customers - Track daily KPIs: on-time delivery, order accuracy, issue resolution, P&L monitoring - Work on operations and logistics optimization projects route efficiency, process improvement, automation opportunities alongside the operations team - Improve processes alongside the operations team as we scale - Lift and move product (up to 50 lbs) as part of daily operations WHO YOU ARE - Currently enrolled in a Canadian college or university (required) - Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident (required) - Access to a vehicle is required shift starts at 3:30 AM; no public transit available - Bias toward action. You'll talk to drivers, customers, and suppliers all day - Organized and detail-oriented - Comfortable working on your feet, indoors and outdoors, in a warehouse environment - Committed to the 3:30 AM start (non-negotiable); reliability and punctuality is key in this role STRONG ASSETS - Warehouse, distribution centre, or produce experience - Comfortable with standard productivity and business tools (Excel, HubSpot, Slack, Microsoft Office) - Curious about logistics optimization, routing, or supply chain analytics - Food service, wholesale grocery, or produce background - Experience riding a pallet jack WHY JITTO Most operations internships put you inside a system someone else built.
