Client Navigation Coordinator Team Lead AccessHR is excited to partner with Spinal Cord Injury Alberta (SCI Alberta) for the recruitment of a full-time, Client Navigation Coordinator Team Lead, in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a contract position with the possibility of extension after March 31, 2027, subject to funding renewal. About Spinal Cord Injury Alberta (SCI Alberta) SCI Alberta is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting Albertans living with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities. Through peer support, service coordination, education, and community engagement, SCI Alberta helps people navigate life after injury, build confidence, and access the resources they need to thrive. They also remain steadfastly committed to strengthening inclusion, accessibility, and belonging. SCI Alberta is contracted by the Government of Alberta to support the Cross Disability Support Services (CDSS) initiative. The objective of CDSS is to provide navigation support to ensure adults with disabilities, whose needs fall outside of other programs, have consistent access to provincewide support. Support through CDSS will empower and encourage individuals to be selfreliant, live as independently as possible, and be valued members of their communities. Position Description Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Client Navigation Coordinator Team Lead plays a key role in delivering the Cross Disability Support Services (CDSS) initiative in the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area, providing both direct client support and daytoday leadership to a team of five Client Navigation Coordinators. As the Team Lead for this evolving program, you will help shape how services are delivered, ensuring individuals receive highquality, personcentered support that empowers independence and meaningful community participation. Youll be joining an organization that assists individuals with selfadvocacy and prioritizes a clientcentred approach where your ideas and leadership will directly influence program success. The successful candidate is resourceful, wellconnected, and experienced in settings requiring strong administrative oversight and funded program reporting. You will also ensure Indigenous clients are connected with culturally relevant supports, including Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community programs. Ultimately, we are seeking an individual with an advocacydriven mindset, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous improvement, while ensuring individuals are supported to live as independently and fully as possible. Key Deliverables Leadership & Service Delivery : Lead, schedule, and support Client Navigation Coordinators while ensuring highquality, clientcentered service delivery and fostering ongoing performance and professional development; manage a reasonable caseload. Program Oversight & Compliance : Ensure alignment with CDSS policies, service standards, and reporting requirements. Client Assessment & Complex Case Support : Oversee needsbased assessments, service planning, and provide guidance on complex or escalated cases. Performance Monitoring & Reporting : Track outcomes, ensure data accuracy, and deliver timely program reporting. Stakeholder Engagement : Represent SCI Alberta in community and stakeholder forums, act as a liaison with partners and funders, and contribute to strategic planning, team culture, and continuous improvement initiatives. Inclusive Practice : Foster partnerships and ensure culturally responsive, strengthbased supports, including connections to Indigenous services. Client-Facing Services : Conduct intakes and needsbased assessments, develop and implement individualized service plans, provide navigation and referrals to community resources, support clients in accessing income, housing, employment, and other social supports, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting. Qualifications Leadership : Inspiring leadership skills with experience coaching, supervising, and developing frontline teams; proven ability to build missionfocused and unified teams. Case Management Expertise : Skilled with managing client caseloads, conducting intakes and needs assessments, developing individualized service plans, and navigating clients to appropriate supports. Program & Regulatory Knowledge : Ability to interpret and apply policies, regulations, and program evaluations; experienced with data entry, CRM systems, and funder reporting requirements. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement : Outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; adept at engaging clients, colleagues, and community partners. Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving : Analytical and able to make factbased decisions with a focus on continuous improvement, collaboration, and program outcomes. Organization & Attention to Detail : Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Personal Attributes & Cultural Competency : Bold and honest in communications; eager to lead independently to achieve goals; committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and ethical practice. Education and Experience Bachelors degree in social work, human services, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of postsecondary education and relevant experience will be considered. 5+ years of experience in disability services or communitybased support programs. Previous leadership or supervisory experience required. Experience with program reporting, evaluation, and policy implementation. Strong working knowledge of Alberta & Edmonton & Area disability programs and systems. Assets Current registration as a Social Worker in the province of Alberta. Direct experience working with Indigenous clients, Elders, Knowledge Keepers. What We Offer Competitive total compensation package, including an annual base salary range of $60,000 to $65,000 CAD. Extended health and dental plan, matching RRSP contributions, and insurance after 3 months. Generous vacation and paid time off benefits. 35hour work week, typically Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day. Eligibility to participate in SCI Albertas hybrid work model. Position Requirements Ability to work in a typical office setting, working at a desk and using computer equipment. Able to lift up to 20 lbs. when supporting special events.
