Senior Accounting Specialist Salary Range: $66,105 $68,659.50 per year (commensurate with qualifications and experience). Position will require: Diploma or degree in a business-related program, preferably in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience Current knowledge of accounting principles and practices Experience with: Accounts payable and accounts receivable Account reconciliation Budget monitoring Maintaining organized filing systems Strong communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail Effective time management and organizational skills Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships Experience with organizational policies and procedures is an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Adagio) is considered an asset Flexibility to adapt to changing office demands A current Police Records Check (required upon conditional offer) Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Senior Accounting Specialist is responsible to perform/assist several accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account analysis and budget preparation and input, as well as general office duties. The Senior Accounting Specialist shall work in a safe manner in accordance with OPTIONS policy and procedures.
