Manager, Early Childhood Education Resource Services Description of Organization Community Living Mississauga has been a source of support for people who have an intellectual disability since 1955. Community Living Mississauga provides a variety of supports and services to people who have an intellectual disability, including residential supports, employment resources, community engagement, Supported Independent Living, respite, and various day support options. Description of Position Community Living Mississauga Mississauga, ON Compensation: $78,657.87 Vacancy Type: Current/Existing Vacancy Permanent, Full Time Apply now: of Duties Community Living Mississauga is seeking a collaborative, values-driven leader to support the inclusion, learning, and development of children with intellectual disabilities or additional support needs in childcare settings. This role provides mentorship, coaching, and guidance to Early Childhood Education Resource Services staff while championing the organizations Vision, Mission, Philosophy, and Values in daily practice. The successful candidate will foster strong community partnerships, build childcare sector capacity to include all children, and ensure families can access natural supports and community resources. They will monitor progress related to Basic Assurances and Shared Values, ensuring goals are measurable and aligned with quality standards. This position plays a key role in promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and strengthening social capital for children and families across Mississauga. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for Community Living Mississaugas Early Childhood Education Resource Services. Ensure high-quality delivery of Inclusion Support Services in alignment with the Service Contract with the Region of Peel and in collaboration with other Peel Inclusion Resource Services (PIRS) community partner organizations. Represent the program within the Peel early childhood community through committees, working groups, and provincial networks. Build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively with external service providers, community partners, and internal colleagues. Translate expectations for resource teachers/early childhood supervisors into clear, measurable outcomes. Resolve conflict, foster trust, and support teams through sector changes and emerging directions. Use strong management skills to make decisions, solve problems, negotiate, plan, and prioritize. Oversee referrals and waitlists, ensuring timelines and requirements are met in partnership with the Region of Peel. Manage program budgets and ensure timely, accurate KPI reporting. Monitor workloads, service data, and timelines to inform planning and identify staffing or resource needs to meet operational goals. Qualifications Community College Diploma in Early Childhood Education plus a certificate in Resource Consultation, or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Studies or related University Degree in Social Services, Early Childhood Education, Child Development. A minimum 5 years experience providing support to preschool aged children with a background in the provision of Resource Support. Supervisory experience an asset. Demonstrated ability to apply leadership, coaching and supervisory principles in a changing environment including effective delegation; motivation of staff; conflict resolution and crisis management.
