Reporting to the Ministry of the Attorney General, the AGCO is responsible for regulating Ontarios vibrant alcohol, gaming, horse racing, and private retail cannabis sectors in accordance with the principles of honesty and integrity, and in the public interest. The Strategic Planning, Prioritization, and Corporate Performance branch is seeking an Advisor, Corporate Performance & Prioritization to support the development, monitoring, and reporting of the AGCOs corporate performance and prioritization frameworks. This role supports evidence-based decision-making by working closely with divisions to track performance, analyze results, monitor priority initiatives, and produce high-quality reporting and insights for senior leadership and the Board. The Advisor plays a key role in enabling consistent performance practices across the organization and strengthening the use of data to inform planning, prioritization, and continuous improvement. What You Will Do (but not limited to) Corporate Performance Measurement & Reporting Contribute to the development, monitoring, and reporting of corporate performance measurement frameworks and key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with divisions to define, refine, and validate performance indicators aligned with the AGCOs Strategic Plan and operational priorities. Ensure KPIs have clear definitions, reliable data sources, and consistent collection methodologies. Prepare performance reports that synthesize quantitative and qualitative results for different audiences. Performance Tools, Dashboards & Processes Build, maintain, and improve tools, templates, and processes that support performance measurement and prioritization. Develop standardized templates and guidance for performance reporting and project intake. Design interactive dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI and maintain them along with internal tools such as KPI registries, dashboards, and portfolio tracking resources. Analytics, Insights & Continuous Improvement Support Provide analysis and insights to support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with strategic goals. Identify opportunities to improve data quality, analytics processes, and reporting practices. Quantitative, Economic & Regulatory Analysis Support Support quantitative, economic, and regulatory-based research and analysis. Assist in defining intended outcomes and evaluation approaches for programs and initiatives. Support the review and evaluation of internal programs, strategies, and activities through data collection and analysis. Project Intake & Prioritization Support Support the administration of the AGCOs project intake and prioritization processes. Review submissions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with strategic priorities. Apply prioritization criteria and support quarterly portfolio review processes. Prepare summaries and analysis to support executive portfolio discussions. You Have: Post-secondary education in one of the following fields: Statistics, Economics, Business Analysis, Business Administration, Public Policy, and/or relevant experience that develops critical and strategic thinking. A demonstrated (3+years) experience in developing and implementing performance measurement strategies and frameworks. The ability to assess the effectiveness of policies, intervention strategies, and other regulatory activities through a quantitative lens. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and approaches in addition to knowledge and application of business intelligence solutions (i.e., MS Power BI). Excellent communication (both written and verbal), collaboration, and interpersonal skills to prepare and present various levels of complexity analysis. Sound judgement and sensitivity to issues, and ability to work with a diverse client group and staff at all levels. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines. Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and diplomacy skills. Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting. Experience developing and executing complex plans supported by a broad range of analytical and statistical capabilities.
