We are currently seeking a Resident Care Manager, passionate and experienced nurse leader who excels in team development, understands the intricacies of longterm care regulations, and is committed to upholding the Resident Bill of Rights. This is a dynamic opportunity to play a frontline leadership role, supporting our exceptional team of Personal Support Workers (PSWs). About the Role Reporting to the Director of Care, the Resident Care Manager is a working leader who ensures excellence in resident care by guiding, mentoring, and empowering our PSW team. Youll help create a culture of continuous improvement and residentfocused care that reflects Visions philosophy of respect, kindness, and dignity. Key Responsibilities Provide handson leadership to PSWs across day, evening, and occasional night shifts Conduct walkthrough rounds to ensure highquality, personcentered care Offer realtime coaching and reeducation to promote best practices in safety and care delivery Monitor staffing levels, coordinate assignments, and address shift needs promptly Facilitate unitbased care huddles to enhance communication and continuity Lead performance reviews and department meetings to foster staff development Oversee scheduling, timecard approvals, and compliance with collective agreementsSupport orientation and onboarding of new care staff Contribute to strategic planning and implementation of clinical excellence initiatives What Were Looking For You are a compassionate, confident leader who believes in a residentfirst approach and understands the importance of team cohesion and accountability. You bring: RPN designation (or allied health professional) with 5+ years of supervisory experience in healthcare Strong knowledge of Ministry of LongTerm Care standards and the LongTerm Care Homes Act Postsecondary education in gerontology or a related field (certificate or diploma), preferred Experience with scheduling systems, collective agreement navigation, and staff performance management Proficiency in PointClickCare and Microsoft Office tools A leadership style that values inclusion, collaboration, and clear communication Additional training in IPAC, palliative care, CAPCE, PIECES, or Best Practices for seniors (an asset) Why Join Vision?
