Back Barn Service and Installation Technician Location: Strathroy, ON fulltime position. What We Offer Competitive hourly wage Canada Life Benefits RSP matching program Flexible work schedule Familyoriented culture Opportunities for growth and training What You Will Do Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools. Perform general welding as needed. Test, inspect, and examine machinery and equipment; adjust, repair, and replace defective parts in a timely, organized fashion. Maintain machinery: service motors, gearboxes, PLCs, frequency drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, scale repairs, feed systems. Provide customer support and recommendations to farmers; manage and communicate concerns, problems, or complaints. Provide comprehensive training to customers on the operation, maintenance, adjustment, and repair of newly installed equipment. Job Requirements and Working Conditions General welding experience. Ability to lift heavy objects. Comfortable working in small or tight spaces. Ability to work at heights. Willingness to get dirty. Teamwork with crew, farmers/customers, and/or independent work. Capacity to work in all weather, indoors and outdoors. Long periods of standing acceptable. Willingness to work evenings and weekends if required. What You Bring Experience: Comprehensive welding knowledge and experience. Previous dairy, poultry, or hog inbarn equipment experience preferred; knowledge of electronics and mechanics. Strong history of millwrighting experience preferred. Experience with proper handling of power and hand tools. Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings. Availability for oncall hours (evenings/weekends). Farming or agriculture background an asset. Education: Postsecondary education in electrical engineering preferred.
