Our personal one-on-one approach is what makes us different from our competitors. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Mobility Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals enhance their mobility and independence through the use of assistive devices and technology. This role involves assessing client needs, providing recommendations, and ensuring the proper fitting and adjustment of mobility equipment. The Mobility Specialist will work closely with clients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional service and support. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients'' mobility needs and limitations. Recommend appropriate mobility devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters based on individual assessments. Provide training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of mobility equipment. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop personalized mobility plans for clients. Ensure all equipment is properly fitted and adjusted for optimal comfort and safety. Maintain accurate records of client assessments, recommendations, and follow-up services. Stay updated on the latest advancements in mobility technology and assistive devices. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly. Requirements Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred. Educational background of Kinesiology, Nursing, or PSW an asset. Strong understanding of mobility devices and assistive technology. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to perform physical tasks related to fitting and adjusting equipment. Compassionate approach with a focus on enhancing client independence. Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Salary: Starting at $45,000 per year + Commission (35 hours per week) Your starting salary will be determined based on your level of experience Base Salary + Commission Probationary period of 6 months to learn the role. Commission begins at 6 months.
