NAC is currently seeking a fulltime Electrical Project Coordinator , initially based on our Dalewood Water Reclamation Facility project in St. Thomas, ON. Position Summary Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will interact with project site teams on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will display strong knowledge in electrical processes and standards, and a demonstrated proven ability to coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors. Responsibilities Effective interaction with other key NAC jobsite personnel working in a team environment. Understanding and interpretation of the full scope of the electrical work for the project. Review and familiarize yourself with the electrical contract drawings and specifications for the project. Have knowledge of the electrical standards and updates. Ensure the timely pricing and processing of CRX changes / change orders including distribution of information to the Project Team. Work closely with the Purchasing Department to maintain an accurate and uptodate awards & purchasing log. Responsible for the purchasing of goods and services when required in the office using the defined corporate procedures and policies. Followup to ensure proper delivery of goods and services. Assist in the preparation of subcontract and vendor award documents for required services scope definition, contract documents; interface with subcontract administration and service providers as required. Prepare electrical and commissioning schedule data for integration to overall project schedules. Be eager to learn the various facets of electrical startup and commissioning activities (scope, drawings, specifications, planning, expediting, resource scheduling). Effectively and accurately communicate relevant electrical information to the project teams. Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude. Obtain field experience for career growth by assisting trade superintendents and project management in the project field. Thorough knowledge and understanding of NACs health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures as per the roles and responsibilities within the HSE manual. Requirements Experience in a similar role within a construction environment would be advantageous. Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner. Must be proficient in Microsoft software such as Excel, Word and Outlook. Have the ability to communicate with clients/engineers on a professional basis. Constructionrelated formal education program degree/diploma; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Instrumentation knowledge preferred or strong desire and ability to learn. Proficient in construction contract drawing and specification interpretation. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Works effectively in a team environment and under high pressure. High level of initiative and keen interest in technical problemsolving. Able to work with minimal supervision. Willing to travel within Canada.
