WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Application Engineer WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU Competitive compensation Professional development opportunities be part of a team that values your contributions and recognizes the impact you make on the business Build skills in sales engineering and technical proposal writing with the opportunity to develop your skills in outside sales or design should you wish Company-match RRSP Witness the design, building and testing of our equipment which is involved in some of the biggest, coolest projects in the world WHAT ARE SOME OF THE COOL PROJECTS DESIGNED AND BUILT LS-24 light-weight aluminumwinchesfor the R/V Shackleford research and hydrographic survey vessel 20-Ton capacity hose handling marine cranes complete with dual winches, wireless remote controls, and built in electric hydraulic power units for Shell Deer Park Containerized AUV Launch and Recovery System (LARS) to the University of Gothenburg for their Antarctic mission WHAT YOU WILL DO Work with internal stakeholders to conceptualize solutions for our customers applications; doing calculations, writing proposals, creating renderings and drawings, setting market pricing Estimate the total cost for the product while obtaining market feedback to validate, liaising with engineering, production, and vendors Support the outside sales team in closing sales and developing longterm growth and success for our customers Play a key role in our ongoing success and growth, acting as the glue between customers and our engineering and sales departments The link between following market trends and developing industryleading products for our customers Generate and evaluate customer inquiry specifications and applications WHO YOU ARE You thrive on challenging yourself to grow and want to work with a team that will push you, trust you, and hold you accountable You pick up the phone and get things done to support customers You are strategic and analytical and want to help build a company Previous experience in heavy equipment industry, with an understanding of both application of machinery and equipment costing, with some customer facing experience Postsecondary education in engineering Intellectually curious, passionate about learning and being the best Sense of urgency, highly responsive and oriented towards action Cando attitude, and respond in all situations with a positive and energized attitude WHAT TO DO NEXT Apply to this exciting position by sending your resume.
