May 4, 2026 About the Role MacEwan University is seeking a Functional Analyst I for a full-time continuing opportunity with the Office of the University Registrar. This role is integral to the operation and ongoing optimization of the universitys ERP environment, supporting Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and integrated platforms such as CourseLeaf and Slate. The successful candidate will be responsible for system configuration, maintenance, and data validation that support student information systems, databases, and curriculum services, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement of critical institutional processes. With a strong focus on analysis, problem solving, and crossfunctional collaboration, this position works closely with stakeholders across the university to provide effective system support, oversee key processes, and ensure consistent alignment with MacEwan Universitys policies, procedures, and data standards. Key responsibilities include: Lead universitylevel system configuration, query development, testing, and process assessment; Drive business process improvements and provide data entry oversight through ad hoc and querybased reporting to support data cleanup and maintain system integrity; Collaborate with stakeholders across the university to document enduser requirements and current business processes related to system configuration and change initiatives; Troubleshoot system issues, facilitate resolution of defects and failures, and provide daytoday expert support to Office of the Registrar and program staff through the ticketing system, email, phone, Microsoft Teams, and in person; Conduct projectbased and ondemand functional system analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives; Apply functional, technical, and business process expertise, along with bestpractice research and existing system capabilities, to identify opportunities for process and technology enhancements; and Ensure ongoing information system data integrity through oversight, reporting, and targeted individual record cleanup. Skills Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data using quantitative and qualitative methods; Advanced proficiency in PeopleSoft system configuration, query development, and database management, with experience in ERP systems and relational databases; Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including managers and subject matter experts; Proven ability to facilitate meetings and workshops, and to translate complex concepts into clear, userfriendly guidance; Demonstrated collaboration and relationshipbuilding skills to work effectively with academic and administrative units; Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities, with sound judgment in resolving complex system and business process issues; Knowledge of postsecondary policies, practices, and their application within system and process design; Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines independently in a fastpaced environment; High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to data integrity; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and enterprise systems such as PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and related applications; Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a strong work ethic and selfmotivation. Qualifications A bachelors degree in a relevant field from a recognized postsecondary institution; Directly relevant experience working with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, including strong functional knowledge gained through handson application; Experience in a large postsecondary environment, with demonstrated understanding of industry standards, the student lifecycle, and related records policies and business processes; An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
