We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer with specialized SAGD expertise to promote process technologies and support the expansion of our market services ***Please note this is a 12 month contract position*** Position Summary In accordance with job responsibilities and work authority, is responsible for providing professional technical advisory services and solutions to clients, helping them optimize business processes and maximize the effectiveness of technology implementation. The role ensures successful deployment of company products and solutions at client sites while providing expert guidance and market-informed feedback to support company growth. Responsibility: - Understand client business requirements and technical challenges to provide professional consultancy and solution design. - Assist clients with system planning, product selection, and implementation to ensure solutions meet actual needs. - Participate in product customization and optimization to address specific client application scenarios. - Provide technical training, guidance, and ongoing support to enable clients to use company products and solutions effectively. - Analyze and resolve technical issues encountered by clients and propose practical improvement plans. - Collect client requirements and industry insights to provide technical perspectives for market and product development. - Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to deliver technical proposals, demonstrations, and support solution adoption. - Represent the company at technical seminars, exhibitions, training sessions, and online events. - Work closely with R&D, engineering, and product teams to translate client requirements into technical solutions or product improvement suggestions. - Support project management teams to ensure successful implementation of technical solutions that meet client expectations. - Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, proposals, and reports, providing standardized guidance for consulting and implementation. - Complete other tasks assigned by the department manager. Experience & Skills - 20+ years of experience in oilfield production and operations management, with in-depth knowledge of full lifecycle production management of oil and gas fields. - 10+ years of experience in thermal production, primarily SAGD, with strong expertise in thermal recovery processes, production optimization, and problem diagnosis. - 10+ years of experience in Canadian oilfield production or project execution, with solid understanding of local regulations, industry standards, and operating practices. - Strong production engineering background, with handson experience in production process design, optimization, and field implementation. - Proven experience in well operation planning and onsite execution, including preparation of well operation programmes and field supervision. - Good knowledge of oilfield surface facilities, including wellsites, gathering and transportation systems, processing facilities, and related processes. - Experience in introduction, field trial, and promotion of new oilfield technologies, products, or services, with the ability to provide technical solutions to clients. - Prior working experience in domestic Chinese oilfields is considered an asset, with the ability to effectively bridge different technical systems and management practices.
