Lead safety initiatives as a Superintendent, focusing on Health and Safety. Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance within a major mining operation through visible leadership. Reporting to the head of Health, Safety, Environment, and Communities, this role prioritizes safety at the diamond production site. You'll be instrumental in guiding safety practices and ensuring that standards are followed across the organization. The position involves implementing safety policies, leading compliance initiatives, and developing effective training programs for emergency readiness. Key Responsibilities: Champion safe work practices throughout the organization Conduct safety training and promote incident reporting Perform and oversee risk assessment procedures Develop and maintain health and safety monitoring programs Supervise a team of safety advisors and medical staff Requirements: Minimum 10 years of applicable mining experience Health and Safety certification is a must Strong experience with safety management systems Preferred qualifications include CHSC or CRSP certifications Excellent leadership and communication skills Elevate the safety culture in mining operations through strategic leadership and effective program implementation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
