The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and oversee safety policies to ensure a safe workplace for all employees. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience in manufacturing safety standards, and a commitment to continuous safety improvement. The Health & Safety Manager will play a critical role in training staff and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have worked in heavy manufacturing environments, in both union and non-union shops. Oakville & Hamilton Facilities Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies tailored to manufacturing operations. - Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards. - Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions. - Design and deliver ongoing training programs focused on safety procedures, hazard recognition, and emergency response. - Collaborate with management and staff to promote a safetyfirst culture across all departments. - Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance documentation. - Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging risks, and regulatory changes affecting manufacturing safety standards.
