Location: Ontario (Hybrid/3 days On-site)Employment Type: Full-Time PermanentAbout the OpportunityAn established professional services organization is seeking a Proposal Writer to support high-impact business development and client growth initiatives. This role is responsible for developing compelling pitch materials, proposals, and credentials in response to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and other new business opportunities.The Proposal Writer will play a key role in shaping strategic messaging, managing proposal processes end-to-end, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused submissions. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented writer who thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and enjoys translating complex information into clear, persuasive content.Key ResponsibilitiesProposal Development & StrategyLead the development of pitch, proposal, and credentialing materials across multiple practice areas and industriesParticipate in go/no-go and strategy meetings, contributing insights and recommendationsConduct research on prospective clients and opportunities to inform tailored submissionsDevelop win themes, differentiators, and overall proposal strategiesProvide recommendations on content structure, format, and positioningProject ManagementManage the full proposal lifecycle from initiation to submissionEstablish timelines, workback schedules, and ensure alignment across stakeholdersTrack opportunities and maintain proposal documentation and internal librariesCoordinate with internal teams to gather required inputs and ensure timely deliveryContent DevelopmentWrite, edit, and tailor compelling proposal content aligned with client needsAdapt existing materials to suit specific opportunities and contextsCollaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to gather informationEnsure consistency in messaging, tone, and alignment with organizational brandingFinalization & SubmissionEdit and proofread materials for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with submission requirementsEnsure all documents meet quality standards and branding guidelinesCoordinate submission processes, including online and hard copy delivery where requiredTake ownership of the final product, ensuring high-quality, timely deliveryPost-Submission & Continuous ImprovementSupport tracking, reporting, and follow-up on submitted proposalsParticipate in internal and external debriefs to identify areas for improvementUpdate proposal content, templates, and knowledge repositoriesContribute to broader business development initiatives, including legal directory submissions, experience lists, and client development materialsQualifications & ExperiencePost-secondary degree or diploma, or equivalent professional experienceMinimum 5 years of proposal writing, business development writing, or research experience, preferably within a professional services environmentProven experience managing proposals end-to-end, including strategy, writing, and submissionExperience working with sales teams and subject matter expertsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with a focus on persuasive, client-centric contentStrong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of an organizationHigh attention to detail and strong analytical thinking skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionSelf-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a hands-on approachWhats in it for YouThis role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile business development initiatives within a collaborative, fast-paced professional services environment.
