Do you enjoy the variety of traveling while working with cutting-edge welding technology?LJ Welding Automation is looking for a highly skilled On-Site Service Technician to join our Service Department. This is a dynamic role that balances high-stakes on-site installations with precision assembly work at our home facility.The Role at a GlanceAs a key member of our service team, you will be the 'boots on the ground' responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining automated welding systems. When you aren't on the road, youll be based at our facility, helping build and test the next generation of industrial equipment.What Youll DoOn the Road: Install and commission welding automation equipment at customer sites across North America.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems under pressure.Customer Support: Provide expert training to clients, ensuring they get the most out of their new equipment.Preventative Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections to keep our clients' operations running smoothly.In-House Support: Build, test, and commission new machines in our assembly shop.What You Bring to the TableExperience: At least 4 years in field service, installation, or industrial maintenance.Technical Savvy: Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and the ability to read technical drawings.Problem-Solving: A natural ability to troubleshoot on the fly and find solutions.Road-Ready: Legal authorization to travel for work internationally and within Canada, and the ability to drive in both Canada and internationally.Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) required; a technical degree or certification is preferred.Working Conditions & Physical RequirementsTravel: High willingness to travel internationally (within North America typically) and work flexible hours.Environment: Exposure to diverse shop environments (hot/cold, loud, and dusty).Physical: Ability to lift and move equipment exceeding 50 lbs.Drive: Comfortable with highway driving during both day and night.Why Join Us?Youll be joining a collaborative team where your expertise is respected and your growth is encouraged.
