HIData Business Analyst (BA)Location: TorontoWork Model: Onsite from Day 1, with 3 days per week in the officeWe are seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst (BA) with strong expertise in Capital Markets and data engineering ecosystems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing data models, creating detailed source-to-target mappings, and optimizing large-scale financial datasets within modern cloud platforms such as Azure Databricks and ADLS Gen2.Capital Markets Data ModelingDesign and maintain both logical and physical data models across Capital Markets domains, including trade execution, portfolio positions, market data (pricing/ticks), and risk metrics.Translate complex financial hierarchies (e.g., fund-of-funds, multi-asset portfolios) into scalable and optimized Databricks data structures.Ensure models support temporal data requirements such as Point-in-Time (PIT) analysis and As-Of financial reporting.Required Skills & QualificationsIndustry Experience: 5+ years in Capital Markets or Wealth Management, with a strong understanding of financial instruments and trade lifecycles.Data Modeling Expertise: 7+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling, preferably in Azure-based ecosystems.STM Expertise: Proven experience creating detailed Source-to-Target Mapping documents for complex data migration or integration initiatives.Technical Proficiency:Advanced skills in Spark SQL and PySparkStrong understanding of Spark optimization techniques (Catalyst Optimizer)Data Storage: Deep expertise in Delta Lake (ACID transactions, Time Travel) and Parquet optimization.Data Governance: Hands-on experience with Unity Catalog or similar data governance frameworks.Technical StackCompute: Azure Databricks (Jobs, SQL Warehouses)Storage: ADLS Gen2 (Delta Lake, Parquet)Governance: Unity CatalogProgramming & Analysis: SQL, Python, Excel (for data profiling and analysis)Documentation Tools: Confluence, Visio (for ERDs and STM documentation)Direct: 469-421-5604 , Ext- 218 Linkedin URL:- linkedin.com/in/nitesh-ch-a378b52226655 Deseo Dr, Suite 104,Irving, TX , 75039 www.tekgence.com
