This role serves as the central authority for pricing controls, discount approvals, distributor margin structures, and territory protection, enabling sustainable revenue growth while minimizing channel conflict.This role is also a critical support function for the Sales team, overseeing the set up of new SKUs and the corresponding product spec sheets. Quarterly commissions payouts are led by this individual as well as all price increases, key account margin analyses and other functions essential to keep the Sales team moving forward.Acting as a key partner to Sales, Finance, and Regional Leadership, the Pricing & Governance Specialist balances commercial flexibility with disciplined governance to support long-term profitability and brand integrity.Key ResponsibilitiesPricing Governance & Margin ProtectionOwn and enforce global pricing policies across Merrithew and Align brandsReview, approve, or decline discount requests in line with established discount tiers and margin thresholdsMonitor pricing exceptions and escalation requests, ensuring alignment with financial and strategic objectivesAnalyze margin impact of pricing decisions and recommend corrective actions where neededPrice Book ManagementMaintain and govern all global price books, including list prices, regional pricing, and customer-specific pricing where applicableEnsure pricing accuracy and consistency across ERP, CRM, and quoting systemsCoordinate pricing updates related to cost changes, product launches, promotions, and currency adjustmentsPartner with Finance and Product teams to validate pricing assumptions and cost inputsOversee price increases, price list updates and the communication of pricing changes internally and on the webstoreManage all bundle pricing criteria and updating information throughout Merrithew and Aligns various systemsDistributor & Channel ManagementDefine, maintain, and monitor distributor margin structures by region and channelEnsure distributor pricing aligns with contractual agreements and global pricing strategyReview distributor pricing practices to identify margin erosion, non-compliance, or channel conflict risksSupport contract development and renewal by providing pricing and margin guidanceChannel Governance & Territory ProtectionMonitor and manage channel conflict across direct, distributor, and e-commerce channelsEnforce territory rules and customer ownership guidelines to protect partner relationships and revenue streamsInvestigate and resolve pricing or territory violations in collaboration with Sales LeadershipDevelop reporting and dashboards to proactively identify conflict risksReporting, Insights & Continuous ImprovementTrack pricing performance, discount utilization, and margin trends across regions and channelsProvide regular reporting and insights to Sales, Finance, and Executive LeadershipIdentify opportunities to strengthen pricing discipline, simplify governance processes, and improve complianceContribute to the development and refinement of global pricing policies and governance frameworksCommission Calculations & Key Stakeholder for ERP Implementation and Data CustodyCalculate the quarterly and annual sales commissions for the Sales team and providing recommendations and insight on rates and performanceBe a main stakeholder and point of contact for master data custody, SKU set up, pricing, etc.Set up new product SKUs (and approved pricing) in all systems, working with production on BOMsProvide competitive produce pricing analysis and projections sheets to Sales teamMaintaining Product Spec Sheet including all details of a product such as UPC, EAN, GTIN, HS Codes, Landed Costs (material & duties & import shipping), Material, COO, size & weight of item and shipping item & master carton Web Store add new items, review & update as needed (new images or branding) with Trello requestTrack and set up all monthly promos on Merrithew.com and via Distributor/Reseller partner networks. In conjunction with Sales, highlighting discounts and profitability on all monthly promos. Take a lead role in the Black Friday Cyber Monday annual event. Setting up promo offers, tracking offers and summarizing key stats and post-event summary.Sales OperationsProduct new release announcements, discontinued notices & out of stock noticesPackaging review and update to ensure branding, logos, addresses, images, etc. are up to date prior to Supply Chain POsGSI invoice annual approval to renew UPC license Extreme Reach monthly invoice approvals for original master video storageCatalog update requests and Photo shoot lists new and / or updated itemsProcess royalty reports i.e. CinedigmMake Icovia 3D planner pricing updatesOther duties, as assignedQualifications & ExperienceRequiredUniversity-level Business degree or in related field.5+ years of experience in pricing, sales operations, finance, or commercial governanceProven experience managing price books, discount structures, and margin controlsStrong analytical skills with the ability to assess margin impact and pricing scenariosExperience working with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)Excellent attention to detail and ability to enforce policies with confidence and professionalismExperience in a global, multi-brand, or multi-channel organizationFamiliarity with distributor and partner-based sales modelsExperience supporting international pricing and currency managementBackground in fitness, wellness, manufacturing, or consumer durable goodsCommercial judgment and financial acumenStrong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaborationAbility to balance sales enablement with governance disciplineClear, confident communication when enforcing policiesProactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset Merrithew may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
