Our client is looking for a Product Developer, with education and experience in Food Science, to join their team in a full-time permanent role for their facility in Waterloo!Come join this growing food production facility and be the recipient of a salary between $65-75K, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits package, RSP matching and vacation time off!As the ideal candidate, you will have a Food Science Degree and a minimum of Five (5) years of experience working with food formulations and recipes.Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Food Science is a requirement.Minimum 5 years' experience working in a product development environment, preferably food manufacturing.Experience in a customer-driven environment where sales and research development play critical roles in driving business strategy.Strong plant operations knowledge.Ability to work hands-on to analyze formulas and build on that knowledge to form new productsEntrepreneurial approach to business problems and resolutions.Strong sense of curiosity to be able to dig deeply into existing products to determine composition.Strong knowledge and experience with system driven productionDemonstrates a strong sense of internal and external customer satisfaction as a top priority.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Responsibilities:Working hands-on with ingredients, to develop and formulate prototypes for new productsUpdate and improve existing formulasTrouble shoot ingredient and formula related production issuesAnalyze market products to gain insight into development of new similar or better productsBe familiar with suppliers and alternatesInspect incoming raw materialsBe cross trained quality control functionOther duties as required by the Technical managerIf you have the required skills above, please send your resume to: Grand River Personnel is committed to promoting accessibility for Ontarians with disabilities and complying with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and makes accommodations available for applicants with disabilities in its recruitment processes.
