This position provides foundational experience in procurement and strategic sourcing within a fast-paced food production environment. The Associate will support sourcing initiatives, develop analytical capabilities, and gain exposure to supplier management, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport the execution of sourcing strategies for indirect and select direct spend categories under the guidance of senior team members. Assist in sourcing events (RFI/RFP/RFQ), including data collection, supplier communication, and bid analysis. Analyze spend data and market trends to identify insights and support cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, R&D, Finance, Supply Chain) to understand business requirements and support sourcing initiatives. Help maintain procurement documentation, contracts, and supplier records within internal systems. Track supplier performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in contract lifecycle tracking to ensure compliance and proper execution. Support vendor onboarding, supplier evaluations, and supplier database management. Contribute to sustainability, supplier diversity, and risk management initiatives. Participate in cross-functional projects to support sourcing, product development, and operational improvements. Assist in monitoring material spend, budgeting inputs, and reporting accuracy. Support supply continuity efforts by helping track risks and escalating potential disruptions. Learn and support import/export processes, including documentation accuracy and compliance with customs requirements. Assist with data analysis, reporting, and preparation of presentations for leadership review. QualificationsUniversity graduate (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred). Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or data analysis tools. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Interest in procurement, supply chain, or food manufacturing industry is an asset.
