Bilingual Estates SpecialistFull-Time Permanent Location: Toronto, ON Environment: Hybrid - Currently 1 day/week in the office, soon to be 2 days/week, typically Mon & Tues.Hours: Monday to Friday | Flexible start between 7:00 AM 9:00 AM | Shifts: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM, or 9:00 AM 5:00 PM | 30-minute lunch break Salary: up to $70K+ 5% bonus! This role is responsible for delivering on our Service Level Agreements and work with partners to resolve escalations in an urgent and efficient manner.Responsibilities: Performs estates settlements, journal processing, issuance of tax documents for estates accounts, address estate related inquiries/issues per internal deadlinesEnsures all information and request channels are current and up to date (e.g. requests for OSM, Laserfiche, mailbox)Proactively offers assistance and maintains a positive attitude as a member of the team and works closely with other Operational teamsReviews current processes of CIRO (formerly MFDA and IIROC) estate settlements and pro-actively make recommendations for improvementEnsures training checklist is up to date and currentProvide regular status and immediately highlights if there are any items in backlog so resources can be allocatedReviews and ensures the following are current: CIRO checklists, departmental procedures and manuals per trustee or regulatory changesActively participates in IIAC Committee meetings and remains current on CRA, RQ, HRSDC and trustee regulations through the review of legislation, press releases, and industry information bulletinsProvide support to the Estates Contact Centre by proactively responding to partner inquiries by delivering on fast, friendly and efficient serviceResolve problems at first point of contact where possibleRequirementsFluency (written and spoken) in English and French is required Minimum of 2-5 years financial industry experience,in Estates Must have estate processing experience for rules for the CRAPost-secondary educationIndustry knowledge of CIRO (formerly MFDA and IIROC), CRA and RQ rules and regulations preferredPro-active in problem solving with strong analytical skills, presenting recommendations for review and implementationExtremely detail oriented and accurate with a focus on quality assuranceAbility to work independently and in a team environmentOutstanding customer service focusExcellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet time deadlinesIntermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Outlook, Excel- intermediateExperience with Dataphile is an asset
