Opportunity CEWE is seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator to join our organization. This position plays a critical role in the successful pursuit and delivery of civil construction and road-building projects by providing accurate, strategic, and competitive cost estimates. The successful candidate will bring extensive industry knowledge, advanced technical expertise, and a strong understanding of best practices in heavy civil construction. Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the estimating function for civil construction and road-building projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness of all submissions. - Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities across public and private sector markets. - Prepare, review, and present detailed cost estimates, bid proposals, and tender submissions in accordance with client and regulatory requirements. - Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve optimal project outcomes. - Collaborate closely with contract administrators, engineering consultants, and project teams to ensure seamless transition from bid to project execution. - Manage multiple bids and pre-construction initiatives simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines and organizational priorities. - Analyze historical cost data, production rates, and forecasts to support informed decision-making and accurate project scoping. - Review and approve subcontractor billings to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company standards. - Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to estimators and project team members. - Ensure adherence to company safety policies, industry regulations, and internal governance standards. - Address escalated client matters with discretion, professionalism, and effective resolution strategies. Qualifications - Demonstrated experience in seniorlevel estimating and project delivery within the civil construction industry. - Comprehensive knowledge of civil infrastructure projects, including designbuild, joint ventures, and capital works. - Strong familiarity with Greater Vancouver and surrounding regional markets considered an asset. - Proven leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities. - Advanced proficiency in HeavyBid, HeavyJob, and related industry software, including MS Office, MMCD, and MOTI platforms. - Strong technical understanding of construction methodologies, project sequencing, and critical path analysis. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical and financial information clearly and professionally. - P.Eng. or AScT designation preferred, with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in civil construction. #J-18808-Ljbffr
