Job Description

Duties This position applies specialized knowledge of production accounting and financial systems to conduct verifications, reviews and investigations into submitted royalty volumetric and pricing data, discrepancies and deficiencies related to Regulatory Information Management System based royalties. The position plays a key role in supporting the organization's fiduciary and regulatory responsibilities by performing royalty administration duties, identifying and resolving royalty issues to ensure accurate, timely and transparent economic benefit to First Nations. The Analyst also fosters and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues, industry representatives, and First Nations to promote transparency, accountability, and business practices in royalty administration and management. Work environment IOGC is an organization committed to managing and regulating oil and gas resources on First Nation reserve lands. It is a special operating agency within Indigenous Services Canada. IOGC is responsible for the administration of oil and gas resources on First Nation reserve lands across Canada, primarily south of the 60th parallel. Most of IOGC's work is in Western Canada in the area of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. You need (essential for the job) Graduation with a postsecondary diploma from a recognized postsecondary institution, with acceptable specialization in business administration, commerce, finance, accounting and or another specialization relevant to the position. - Experience in operational accounting - Experience in production accounting reporting and royalty reporting - Experience in financial reconciliation and verification activities. - Knowledge of oil and gas operations. - Knowledge of computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentation programs.
