Location: Moncton, NB Status: Full-time, Temporary Reports to: Product Developer II - Ingestibles Position Summary: We are currently seeking candidates for Product Developer I within the Product Development Collaboration (PDC), dedicated to developing new and innovative products through extensive research and understanding of cannabis with a focus on research and development. Reporting to the Product Developer II, you are passionate about developing new category ingestible cannabis products with a focus on elevating the consumer experience. You thrive in both concept-based research and in lab prototyping and testing to operating pilot scale production equipment. With an emphasis on organization and administrative task management while managing multidisciplinary projects, our ideal candidate is highly motivated, energetic, agile and able to work as part of a diverse, fast-paced team. Key Responsibilities: Support execution of product development lifecycle activities within the ingestible product development team; Manage prototype testing to ensure performance meets required specification (including stability, sensory and verification studies); Identify and drive implementation of novel solutions and concepts into product development; Plan and document experiment design, analyse data and present to stakeholders highlighting issues and risks; Ensure timely deliverables to keep projects on-track; Evaluate and assess external technologies and products as part of ongoing benchmarking and product innovation; Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, Toxicology and Analytical Science teams to conduct product development experiments in accordance with internal requirements and in compliance with governing bodies; Collaborate and support the Product Science team for technology verification and validation studies; Ensure inventory traceability and administrative documentation of all cannabis product being used for Product Development activities; Document all data generated and report all research work performed, including creation and documentation of study and experimental protocol, development of experiment process, identification and corrections of developments and manufacturing issues/problems/observations; Assist in developing detailed product specifications for new and innovative products and product types, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements; Manage product development stability studies for new products and product classes (from raw materials to finished goods); Challenge the status quo of equipment and process solutions, and articulate new technologies and solutions in a constructive manner; Other duties as required. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in science or related discipline (food science, chemistry, material science); Experience in product development in cannabis, food or beverage industries; Knowledge of nano emulsions, gummies and beverages making processes; Detailed knowledge and experience of physical and/or analytical measurement techniques; Knowledge of product development techniques and product development life cycle; Practical experience with prototyping and testing proof of concept and proof of application stages; Some experience in managing external suppliers to deliver new innovations into product pipeline; Ability to plan, execute and manage projects; experience using project management platforms and tools; Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint to communicate results effectively to various levels of stakeholders; Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; with the ability to influence stakeholders; Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
