About This Role As a Funeral Director at Marshall W. Driver Cremation & Burial Service in Barrie, Ontario, you will oversee and direct all aspects of funeral services, including filing death certificates, maintaining online obituary listings, performing decedent embalming, and providing assistance during the execution of funeral services. Job Type Full Time, Contract (12-18 months) Vacancy Status This role is to cover an upcoming maternity leave and is not currently vacant. Key Qualifications And Demonstrated Abilities Possesses a Funeral Directors license. Students currently enrolled in a Funeral Service, Funeral Service Education, or Funeral Service Diploma program at an accredited post-secondary institution will be considered. Displays proven, superior arrangement, directing and embalming skills. Passion for customer care demonstrated in previous professional experiences. Selfmotivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated strong customer service skills with the ability to partner with all levels of the organization. Excellent knowledge of Funeral Home procedures and business practices including Funeral Home Procedures Manuals. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Valid drivers license. Responsibilities Arranges, coordinates and directs funeral ceremonies. Meets and surpasses the needs and expectations of the families we serve. Maintains active involvement within the community and is committed to building and establishing effective relationships and rapport. Supports the Funeral Service Departments vision of technology integration by understanding the role technology plays in the funeral homes success.
