Position Description The Finance Manager is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting while also contributing to planning, forecasting, and operational decision support. Core Responsibilities Oversee fullcycle accounting, including monthend, yearend, and financial statement preparation Manage budgeting and forecasting processes Monitor financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities Support leadership with financial analysis and actionable insights Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Lead or mentor accounting staff as applicable Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting, and systems Support audits and liaise with external stakeholders This is a role where technical strength meets business awareness. Midweek often involves collaboration. You connect with operations, leadership, or department heads to walk through numbers, answer questions, and provide context. You are coordinating close activities, ensuring accuracy, and keeping timelines tight without sacrificing quality. Throughout the week, there is ongoing work around forecasting, refining reports, and improving how information flows through the organization. You are not just maintaining the system, you are strengthening it. Experience Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior accounting role Background in manufacturing or a productdriven environment is strongly preferred Experience overseeing fullcycle accounting and financial reporting Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency with ERP/accounting systems Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills Experience within a manufacturing or multientity business environment is considered an asset Proactive and detailoriented professional with strong leadership abilities Able to balance handson responsibilities with strategic financial insight Committed to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement Education Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline Use of Artificial Intelligence We do NOT use artificial intelligence to screen, rank or select candidates.
