Our Concrete Restoration branch is hiring a part time to full time Office Manager. The person will manage the day-to-day activities of the Construction office. This is an onsite position at our Burnaby office. We are close to transit stops and have onsite parking. Who we are Metro Concrete Restoration is the working name of a group within Metro Testing + Engineering that specializes in concrete restoration of commercial and industrial structures in the Lower Mainland. We are a small group of passionate individuals who have worked around concrete for decades. Metro Testing & Engineering is one of the largest and busiest materials testing companies in Western Canada. We have 11 offices, over 250 employees and growing. We provide Materials testing services to a lot of high-profile clients in their residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. We also provide engineering consulting and concrete restoration services. What you will be doing Assist with reviewing proposals for grammatical accuracy Providing logistic support to out of town projects (booking hotel rooms and travel arrangements, tracking crew LOA etc) Assist with managing equipment and tools inventory Be a point of contact for our crew and help them with their issues and concerns. Follow up with clients and project managers on proposals, scope changes, change orders reports, invoices and accounts payable. Review and approve Accounts payables Review and approve employees time sheets and expense reports Update Raken Reports with details from timesheets Management of office details. What you will get Starting wage is between $23-25/hr depending on experience brought to the position. Experience with contract document management including change orders, Request for Information (RFIs) and safety documentation is an asset. Experience in Contract Financial Administration including progress invoices, invoicing for subtrades, tracking costs vs revenue, and payables. Understanding the stages of a contract is an asset. Experience managing multiple details in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
