THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Director of Education, the Superintendent of Education will play a key leadership role in shaping system direction and supporting excellence across all schools. Working collaboratively with principals, educators, and system leaders, the successful candidate will oversee programs, instruction, assessment, and strategic planning from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Oversight of a family of schools and diverse portfolio leadership are also integral to the role. This is an opportunity to influence system-wide innovation, strengthen student achievement and well-being, and support a culture of continuous improvement grounded in faith and equity. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Demonstrates a strong commitment to Catholic education and faith formation Brings a proven track record of progressive leadership at the school and/or system level Inspires collaboration, innovation, and high expectations for all learners Values relationships and community engagement across diverse and remote contexts Leads with integrity, vision, and a deep sense of purpose Brings experience and insight across the Kindergarten to Grade 12 continuum, with demonstrated understanding of elementary education Demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusive education, with knowledge and leadership experience in special education diverse learners Applicants must hold (or be eligible for) the Ontario Supervisory Officers Certificate and be prepared to complete the Supervisory Officers Qualification Program in accordance with Ontario Regulation 309. Religious Education Part1 is required, with a commitment to complete Parts2 and3 within five years.
