Job Description

Job Summary A Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for installing, setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing client systems and equipment (hardware and software). Such work may occur on or off site and may require coordination with other support teams or third parties. Duties are performed within an assigned region but may be required anywhere in Canada and include travel, afterhours, and weekend work. Specific Responsibilities Act as service representative for specific customers. Member of the OnCall schedule. Perform Preventive Maintenance. Accountable for customer satisfaction. Maintain and manage equipment and parts to execute service requests in a timely manner. Maintain inventory up to date. Execute installations, repairs, and assigned tasks on equipment onsite at customer sitesincluding afterhours as required on a rotating oncall basis. Keep all work areas clean, organized, and safe, acting in a legal, safe, and courteous manner while traveling to and from customer sites. Complete all administrative and reporting requirements, including mandatory training. Occasionally transport packages to courier depots or directly to the airport in case of emergency or after courier pickup times have elapsed. Participate in setting up commercial showcase events as required. Assist sales team as service representative when negotiating and banners HQ and chain level, assisting periodic review of equipment performance information. Foster a culture of excellence and customerfirst service relationships. Act in accordance with Mckesson Canada ILEAD (Inspire, Leverage, Execute, Advance, Develop) and ICARE (Integrity, CustomerFirst, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) guiding principles. Minimum Qualifications Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience. Electronic, Robotics or Electromechanic college degree. Demonstrate leadership and maintain higher customer satisfaction standards. Use own vehicle and possess a clean driving record. Maintain a valid driving licence. Additional Qualifications Experience with pneumatic and robotics systems, troubleshooting and repair. Experience with complex electronic control systems, troubleshooting and repair. Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is an asset. Experience with hospital automation and healthcare automation is an asset. Capacity to learn and understand the functions of McKesson Automation equipment and apply learnings. Excellent interpersonal customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds. Relevant frontline, fieldbased technical customer service experience is a clear asset. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a timecritical environment in an organized and effective manner. Demonstrate a customerfirst, teamoriented, positive attitude. Must be autonomous; demonstrate initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work independently in the field. Capability to work with team members in various departments to achieve departmental goals and to resolve internal and external customer issues in a timely manner. Working Conditions Position requires frequent travel within a region and occasionally anywhere within Canada. Availability after hours and weekends for oncall support and installations as required (frequent). Must be physically able to move large boxes and equipment weighing up to 30kg and perform installation work in cabinetry and elevated spaces as needed. Compensation Base Pay Range: $69,400 $115,600. Additional compensation such as an annual bonus or longterm incentive opportunities may be offered.
