You will report to a Senior Project Engineer in Hatchs Infrastructure sector and support offices globally working with the Utility Group from our Mississauga office. Responsibilities Support project managers, project engineers, and designers in preparing detailed design for civil engineering infrastructure/utilities projects. Assist in CAD design of municipal infrastructure, including composite utility drawings, sewer, water mains, and related work. Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks for various projects. Create and compile design models and drawings. Prepare design submissions and other technical documents. Coordinate with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables. Provide assistance to Senior Engineers and Designers as needed. Education and Experience Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technology coop program at an accredited college. Strong CAD skills, experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D. Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads is an asset. Experience in utility, drainage, and pipeline design such as developing infrastructure plans and profiles is an asset. Comfortable working in both 2D and 3D environments. Positive team attitude and resultsoriented, with ability to work independently. In good academic standing. Experience in developing project layouts and civil details using AutoCAD or Bentley programs is an asset. Extracurricular involvement is also considered an asset.
