Our client, a well-established and stable manufacturing company , is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Kitchener, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a structured accounting team and take ownership of the full-cycle accounts payable function. Reporting to a long-tenured Accounting Manager , youll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial obligations while maintaining strong vendor relationships. This position has opened due to a planned retirement, offering the chance to transition into a well-established role with support from an experienced and collaborative finance team. Whats in it for you Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits from day one + health spending account Registered Pension Plan DPSP contributions Exciting vacation package Stable, supportive team with strong tenure Opportunity to own and manage the full AP cycle What youll be doing Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing and payment execution Perform 3-way matching (purchase orders, invoices, receiving documents) Ensure accurate coding of invoices to the general ledger Process payments via cheque, EFT, and wire transfers Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain and update vendor and banking information Support month-end close, including AP accruals and reconciliations Prepare AP aging reports and assist with audits Provide backup support for bank reconciliations and accounts receivable Assist with freight analysis when needed What you bring 3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Solid understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices Strong organizational and time-management skills.
