Taitara Mahi - Collections and Content Librarian Permanent Full-Time We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic Collections and Content Librarian with a cando attitude to join our Collections and Content team working across all our library sites. This is a permanent fulltime position working 38 hours Tuesday to Saturday across the three Hastings District Libraries facilities. The purpose of this position is to provide collection and content management services by implementing agreed cataloguing and classification standards to enable effective and efficient access to library collection materials and information. It involves contributing to the development, curation and maintenance of digital collections and providing fronthouse customer services to the libraries within Hastings District Libraries. This position would be ideal for someone with outstanding people skills, an eye for detail but an appreciation of the bigger picture, proven productivity and the ability to adapt to a range of systems, devices and platforms. u wheako about you - Experience in collections work, especially cataloguing and/or acquisitions - Proven experience in a library consortium and/or a professional library qualification - Experience with digitisation projects, including scanning and digital files - Strong commitment to customer service - Initiative and ability to work in a team environment Situated in the heart of Ngti Kahungunu, the Hastings district and Hawkes Bay offer an enjoyable environment in which to live, work and play.
