Area(s) of interest: Advisory services, Commercial banking, Wealth management, Finance and accounting Location(s): Toronto, Windsor A career as a Regional Director Financing Solutions in the Financing Solutions team at National Bank means acting as a strategic credit expert on complex commercial financing transactions. This job allows you to have a positive impact on our organization thanks to your deep expertise in commercial credit, your ability to structure complex transactions, and your influence on highvalue decisions that support the growth of our commercial banking activities. You will support commercial banking teams on large and complex financing opportunities, helping them balance client needs with sound risk management. In this role, you act as a trusted partner, bringing rigour, insight, and perspective to transactions that matter to our clients and to the Bank. Your role Act as a credit expert and trusted advisor on complex commercial financing transactions of $5 million and more, including business transfers such as leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, and mergers and acquisitions Perform indepth credit analysis in accordance with established standards and formulate clear, wellstructured recommendations for decisionmaking bodies Structure and underwrite complex credit applications by identifying risks, proposing mitigation strategies, and ensuring solutions align with client objectives and Bank risk requirements Support due diligence activities by working directly with internal teams, centres of influence, prospects, and clients throughout the transaction lifecycle Advocate credit applications with approval committees and contribute to negotiating credit terms and conditions with internal partners Act as a resource person for commercial credit expertise across Ontario and contribute to the development of regional strategic initiatives in collaboration with partners Requirements Hold a university certificate and nine years of relevant experience; or a bachelors degree and seven years of relevant experience; or a masters degree and five years of relevant experience Demonstrate significant experience in commercial credit analysis and underwriting within a commercial banking environment Have a proven track record managing large and complex financing transactions across various industries Possess strong expertise in financial statement analysis and accounting Bring experience in transaction structuring, adjudication processes, and participation in approval committees Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external partners Capacity to communicate complex credit concepts clearly and convincingly Strong judgement and decisionmaking skills in highstakes environments Coaching mindset and interest in developing the expertise of colleagues Benefits Health and wellness program, including many options Employee Share Ownership Plan Employee and family assistance program Preferential banking services Involvement in community initiatives Virtual sleep clinic #J-18808-Ljbffr
