Job Description

The team You will lead performance marketing across every channel, every market, and every audience segment Breakout operates in. This is a handson, inthetrenches role not a manager role. You are not here to manage people. You are here to run the accounts and set the strategy. Reporting directly to the VP of Growth, you will own the strategy and the daily execution of all paid media worldwide Meta, Google, TikTok, X, Reddit, YouTube, programmatic, endemic crypto publishers, and channels we have not tested yet. You will be inside every ad account, every day briefing, building, launching, optimizing, and killing campaigns yourself. You will also set the strategy that decides what gets tested, what gets scaled, and what gets cut. Strategist and operator, not one or the other. You will work sidebyside with our Creative, Content, Lifecycle, Analytics, and Affiliate teammates to hit aggressive CAC and payback targets while scaling spend responsibly across regions and customer segments. Alongside working directly within the Breakout growth team, you will also work directly with Paywards (Krakens) performance marketing team one of the leading paid acquisition operations in crypto. You will trade frameworks, channel learnings, and live test results back and forth, lean on their data and platform relationships where they accelerate what you are doing at Breakout, and share back the insights that can help the wider group. Your wins compound across Krakens brands, and theirs compound back to yours. We are looking for a worldclass performance marketer who has done this before ideally in crypto, fintech, trading, or another regulated, highintent category. Someone who still loves being in the ad accounts, not someone who wants to step away from them. The opportunity Own the global performance marketing strategy across every paid channel Breakout invests in Meta, Google, TikTok, X, Reddit, YouTube, programmatic, endemic crypto media, and beyond. Set and manage budget, forecasts, and channel mix across regions and customer segments, with full accountability for CAC, payback, and ROAS against our targets. Run every ad account, every day. You will be in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads Manager, and every other platform we buy on briefing, building, launching, optimizing, and killing campaigns yourself. This is a handson role, not a management role. Partner with our Performance Creative Designer to design, test, and iterate creative at volume across video, static, and motion. You do not design ads, but you know what makes a winning one and can brief it into existence. Build and maintain a structured testing roadmap across new and emerging channels (web3 DSPs, endemic crypto publishers, gaming, CTV, beta ad products) with clear success criteria and kill rules. Work with Analytics and BI to build the measurement and attribution infrastructure a modern performance program needs MMP implementation, pixel hygiene, serverside tracking, incrementality testing. Partner with Lifecycle, Content, Affiliate, and Product to connect paid to the full funnel so acquisition compounds with activation and retention. Partner with Paywards (Krakens) performance marketing team to trade frameworks, channel learnings, and live test results. Use their data and platform relationships where they accelerate what you are doing at Breakout, and feed your best insights back to the wider group. Translate test learnings into repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and documentation the whole marketing org can draw from. Present results, forecasts, and strategic bets directly to Breakout and Kraken leadership. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Skills you should HODL 6+ years of handson performance marketing experience, with a clear track record of building or running paid acquisition programs at scale in a highgrowth environment. Demonstrated success running multimilliondollar paid budgets across a mix of channels, with real accountability for CAC and payback not just impressions and clicks. Deep handson experience across the major performance channels: Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, X, Reddit, and programmatic, plus comfort exploring emerging platforms. Strong command of attribution, MMPs (Appsflyer, Branch), and incrementality measurement. You know when to trust a platform metric and when to stresstest it. Sharp creative instincts. You can brief, review, and iterate on creative alongside your designer without getting lost in the craft. Analytical depth. At home in spreadsheets, dashboards, and SQLadjacent work. You build your own models to pressuretest assumptions before anyone else does. Comfortable being both the strategist and the operator. You can pitch a channel test to leadership on Monday, build and launch it yourself on Tuesday, and translate the first read into a boardready narrative by Friday. Crypto knowledge or deep fluency in crypto, trading, or an adjacent highintent category. You understand who our traders are and what they care about. Nice to haves Prior experience in prop trading, leverage trading, futures, or regulated financial products. Experience running global, multiregion paid acquisition with localised channel mixes and budgets.
