Make a difference as a Helpline Counsellor with FearIsNotLove in Calgary. This role focuses on providing non-judgmental support to those experiencing domestic violence during full-time shifts. FearIsNotLove is looking for compassionate individuals for a full-time helpline counsellor position. You will deliver crucial crisis intervention and support services to individuals fighting domestic violence. Your role involves assessing needs, providing information about resources, and collaborating with other departments to enhance client care. Key Responsibilities: Operate main helplines, ensuring clients feel validated Offer telephone support to individuals affected by violence Respond to emergencies and email inquiries for assistance Document all interactions and maintain client confidentiality Work closely with Calgary Womens Emergency Shelter staff Requirements: Required diploma in Human Services or relevant field At least 2 years of experience in crisis support Familiarity with community resources for domestic violence Active certifications in First Aid and ASIST Ability to work with diverse populations is preferred Engage with clients facing challenges and empower them towards a violence-free life as a helpline counsellor. #J-18808-Ljbffr
